Hypnobirthing Merseyside - Teachers' Directory
Hello my name is Margaret. I am an established Advanced Hypnotherapist and a HypnoBirthing practitioner. I have been in practice since 2005 and receive many testimonials and recommendations for my work. I use a combination of techniques to get results for my clients. I provide complete antenatal and hypnobirthing preparation for a calm, relaxed, empowering and joyful birth.
Hi I'm Kim, I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2015 but had to take a break when I became pregnant, I knew instantly that I wanted to have a hypnobirth after learning about it. The whole encounter was so wonderful and empowering, I couldnt get enough and wanted to pass on my experience so I completed the KGHypnobirthing course to share this amazing adventure with new parents and enjoy teaching them about hypnobirthing.
TIME has been lovingly crafted and created by Terri Irvin. Terri has been in the health and wellness industry for over two decades and during her career has been involved in everything from Health Spa Management and Skin Analysis, through to working with some of the top skincare product houses, both in the UK and internationally. As a Spa Consultant, Terri has trained 5-star spas all over the world and her in-depth knowledge of products & ingredients has led her to be an expert in her field.
In 2015 Terri became a mother for the first time! This was to be the most fundamental transition in her life that carved a path for the future. Balancing being a pregnant, working woman was the first challenge, but was far from the last (but you can read more about that on our blog...) Since becoming a parent, Terri's interest in the birthing journey & motherhood has grown! Treatment-led pregnancy, the bodies' 'form' during pregnancy, the passion for a safe and positive birth, understanding of nutrition and successful breastfeeding are all core to her passion to support and mentor new parents on their birthing journey.
This combination of professional expertise as well as a desire to draw on her own parental experience has naturally developed in a career in nurturing mums to be. TIME (Terri Irvin Managing Expectations) has developed a bespoke & personal treatment plan for new mothers. Through pregnancy massage you will be introduced to Hypnobirthing. This allows the body to completely relax and has many health benefits for both mum and baby!
Having a baby isn't the end of this wonderful journey... it is just the beginning. This is why we also offer a full support service.
My name is Jeanette Dean, and I trained in Midwifery following the birth of my 3 children. I worked in a Caseloading model of care, and am now an Independent Midwife. I have been teaching KG Hypnobirthing for nearly 4 years, and am passionate to share the knowledge that a calm, relaxed birth is possible.
I'm Jo Taylor, a qualified KGH Practitioner and a dedicated and passionate teacher in positive birth and women's empowerment in birth. As a two-time hypnobirthing mum, to Aaron in 2014 and Julia in 2018, KGH made a profound difference to my knowledge, understanding, mindset and entire belief system surrounding birth.

Hypnobirthing is designed for all women and all births and fully prepares you for every aspect of labour both mentally and physically. It releases fear and tension and builds confidence in your ability to birth your baby feeling calm and in control. Teaching a simple physiological approach to birth and recognising the ways the mind affects the body in labour, hypnobirthing enables our bodies to produce the hormones we need so our birth muscles can work in harmony with them and birth can progress comfortably.
Benefits of hypnobirthing include reduced intervention rates, reduced use of analgesia, increased natural births and increased positive birth experiences.
I teach private classes, group courses and online courses as well as refresher sessions if you have taken a recognised hypnobirthing course in the past.
- Group courses take place at Heskin Pemberton Primary School in Heskin, near Chorley.
- If you would like to book a private or refresher course I can either travel to your home or you can visit me at my hypnobirthing office space or home if you prefer.
Any time from 20 weeks is ideal to attend so feel free to get in touch for a no obligation chat or to book or register your interest for a course. Full details are also on my website.
I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples to prepare for their birthing journeys and to tap into their own instincts and resources, whatever circumstances surround their pregnancies.
My passion for hypnobirthing was first ignited during the birth of my first child, my daughter, who is now 5. I was introduced to the hypnobirthing techniques by a friend, who gave me a book to read, and this was the basis of my birth preparation for my first child. Whilst I admit that at this stage I was a little sceptical, the techniques that I had learnt helped me to achieve a natural, calm water birth in a midwife led unit, which left me feeling in awe of the whole process and more importantly, my own strength. For my subsequent births I totally embraced the concept of hypnobirthing, having seen and experienced the benefits first hand. The relaxation technique, calm state of mind, and belief in my body, that i had developed during my second pregnancy helped me to achieve the most beautiful water birth in the comfort of my own home and surrounded by my beautiful family.
The birth of my third child was also just as beautiful- a drug free water birth, during which (as cliche as it sounds) I felt almost elevated onto another level. Completely empowered! I cannot say my births were pain free, but manageable and not at all dominated by pain or fear.
I now want to help other women feel the same way about the birth experiences, and it is so simple to achieve. It is about becoming connected to ourselves as women and trusting what and who we are.
I am passionate about helping women to see the strength and capability within them during pregnancy and birth. Deep down we already know how to birth our babies and have been doing so for centuries. It is our divine feminine power within us. I simply want to support you to tap into this power and knowledge.

Our Core Principles
We also ask our teachers to sign up to our code of ethics, which guides their conduct when teaching good quality techniques to mothers, and asks for their commitment to promoting natural childbirth more generally.
