Maureen Collins – Midwife – Mother – Grandmother – Passionate Advocate for True Choice in Maternity Care
I have been a midwife for 40 years and worked in both hospital and community settings. I have managed a Midwife Led Unit, was an Associate Lecturer, a Supervisor of Midwives Head of Governance, Head of Midwifery for One to One Midwives. I have also worked in the USA for seven years and it was there that I very first heard about the amazing childbirth programme called Hypnobirthing.
I currently work as a Midwifery Consultant, a Visiting Lecturer and a Hypnobirthing Trainer for KGH working acrosss the county training midwives and birth workers in the wonderful KGH programme.
I have taught Hypnobirthing to around 2000 couples and each and every one have found their inner strength to follow their birthing instincts, to remain in control of the process whether thats was through normal birth or through assisted birth. Hypnobirthing prepares you for whatever turn your birthing take, it will inspire you, it will motivate you, it will instil in you the belief in yourself as a woman, the power of choice, self determination and ultimately an empowering, fulfilling experience.
I have a Masters Degree in Biomedical Ethics, a BA(Hons) in Health Studies/Health Promotion, Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife Qualifications. I have spoken at conferences in the UK, US and China.
Hi I'm Kim, I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2015 but had to take a break when I became pregnant, I knew instantly that I wanted to have a hypnobirth after learning about it. The whole encounter was so wonderful and empowering, I couldnt get enough and wanted to pass on my experience so I completed the KGHypnobirthing course to share this amazing adventure with new parents and enjoy teaching them about hypnobirthing.
I'm Jo Taylor, a hypnobirthing mum myself to Aaron in 2014 and Julia in 2018, KGH made a profound difference to my knowledge, understanding, mindset and belief system surrounding birth, so I qualified to pass it on!
On a personal level I chose and experienced two beautiful home water births. On a professional level, I advocate for education and choice and women trusting their own intuition in knowing what is right for them.
Having supported dozens of pregnant women and partners for a couple of years now, I have seen the positive impact my classes have in helping couples take ownership of what they want for their birth experience.
You can book tickets for upcoming courses and classes via my website or email me with any queries. I'm always happy to chat!

I'm a registered KGHypnobirthing practitioner, and a specialist pregnancy, postnatal and kids yoga teacher. I'm based on the Wirral and run face-to-face courses from a local yoga studio, as well as offering a one-to-one service in the comfort of your own home or online via Zoom.
My name is Helen and I am a mum of two. My full hypnobirthing journey began in 2019 when pregnant with my second child. Having carried anxiety and worry my whole life about ‘labour’ it came as no surprise to me when I had a relatively difficult birth with my first child (lengthy and assisted). However I was determined to do what I could to make my second birth a more positive experience. Being a nurse with over 10 years experience, hypnobirthing appealed to me because it is grounded in scientific theory. It is an educational resource to help understand how birth works from a psychological perspective. Most importantly hypnobirthing teaches you what you can do to make sure the necessary mix of hormones and muscles required to birth a baby are able to do their job, uninhibited.
TIME has been lovingly crafted and created by Terri Irvin. Terri has been in the health and wellness industry for over two decades and during her career has been involved in everything from Health Spa Management and Skin Analysis, through to working with some of the top skincare product houses, both in the UK and internationally. As a Spa Consultant, Terri has trained 5-star spas all over the world and her in-depth knowledge of products & ingredients has led her to be an expert in her field.
In 2015 Terri became a mother for the first time! This was to be the most fundamental transition in her life that carved a path for the future. Balancing being a pregnant, working woman was the first challenge, but was far from the last (but you can read more about that on our blog...) Since becoming a parent, Terri's interest in the birthing journey & motherhood has grown! Treatment-led pregnancy, the bodies' 'form' during pregnancy, the passion for a safe and positive birth, understanding of nutrition and successful breastfeeding are all core to her passion to support and mentor new parents on their birthing journey.
This combination of professional expertise as well as a desire to draw on her own parental experience has naturally developed in a career in nurturing mums to be. TIME (Terri Irvin Managing Expectations) has developed a bespoke & personal treatment plan for new mothers. Through pregnancy massage you will be introduced to Hypnobirthing. This allows the body to completely relax and has many health benefits for both mum and baby!
Having a baby isn't the end of this wonderful journey... it is just the beginning. This is why we also offer a full support service.
