Hypnobirthing Middlesex - Teachers' Directory
I have recently qualified as a Midwife from Kings College London. I trained for three years at St Thomas' Hospital, where I gained invaluable experience and knowledge caring for a huge array of women and families.
Prior to studying midwifery, I completed a Masters in Child Psychology and a BSc in Educational Studies with Early Childhood Studies. I am proud of my knowledge I have gained over the years and I have always admired the power of the human mind.
I have cared for hypnobirthing mums who have experienced analgesic free births and those who have needed emergency caesareans. Each birth is unique, powerful and emotional. I have seen hypnobirthing work and I believe removing fear and negativity can make the experience of pregnancy, labour and birth a magical one.
Hi! I'm Liz Whitehead. I live in Lower Sunbury in Surrey with my husband Jonathan and son Alexander.
My experience with Hypnobirthing began long before giving birth - when I was actually 15 years old. Without knowing it, I used many of the Hypnobirthing techniques to over come the devastating side effects of chemotherapy. It was during treatment that I really started to appreciate the power of the mind. When I was diagnosed with cancer I underwent a rigorous regime of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and had pretty major surgery. It was at this point in my life I learnt how to use visualisations and positive mantras to aid my recovery. It really helped me maintain a positive attitude when things got tough.
I got through the whole ordeal in 2002 and went on to study and qualify as an RE teacher which I am still doing today.
Jonathan and I fell pregnant in 2015 after an unfortunate miscarriage and I knew straight away that visualisations, relaxation techniques and positive mantras were, once again, the way forward when approaching child birth.
I had heard about Hypnobirthing through numerous friends and after the 20 week scan immediately signed us up on a course. It turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. Not only was our birth calm and comfortable, I felt in complete control and actually enjoyed the whole experience.
Our son Alexander was born in the water with the lights down low and my mantras on repeat without the need for any pain relief. Afterwards I felt so incredibly proud of myself. I was empowered by the whole experience and I want to share that empowerment with all of you too.
Having had 4 children and I now have 4 grandchildren I have experienced, as well as seen, first hand what a difference Hypnobirthing can make. If you want to have a beautiful birthing experience and a relaxed baby I can show you how, by teaching you relaxation, self hypnosis, visualisations and positive affirmations. Have a look at my website and then contact me, I would love to hear from you.
Hi there i'm Ali and run Hypnobirthing Mumma. I run private classes in and around Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington, Kingston and other surrounding London areas. I also teach in the the Home Counties. My group classes are based in Twickenham and Richmond.
Having used hypnobirthing for my son i am true advocate of how amazing this technique can be when birthing your baby. Being a KG Hypnobirthing practitioner now allows me to help other women achieve a positive birth.
I came to hypnobirthing quite by chance as an anxious mum-to-be and it completely transformed my experience of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. I am now passionate about sharing my experience and knowledge with other mums-to-be and families to empower them to have a similar fantastic, calm and positive experience.
I have taught over 50 couples and my passion for empowering women in pregnancy, birth and motherhood only continues to grow.
Hello! My name is Jo Snellin and my aim is to guide you through a happy and calm pregnancy to a happy and calm birth.
I became passionate about birth and the magic of the female body and all it can achieve after the birth of my two children. My first son was born in 2013 at hospital, under strip lighting and with all of the drugs! I had very little understanding of how the female body works during labour and was unable to remain calm when things didn't quite go the way I thought they would. Luckily for me my baby was born healthy and happy but I felt disconnected from his birth and my body and constantly wondered what I could have done to prevent this. So, when I fell pregnant with my second son in 2015 I decided straight away that I wanted a different experience, so signed up to a KG Hypnobirthing class.
I learnt all about my body and the power of the mind and how if I allowed them to work together naturally and harmoniously during labour I could peacefully and calmly welcome my baby earthside. It was such a life changing, empowering experience that I decided there and then that I wanted to help other women experience this calmness during their pregnancy and labour.
Our bodies and the beautiful birth system within us are already perfect - I will simply teach you how to access it.

I believe that birth of your baby is a unique incredible milestone that will be remembered and reflected on forever. A woman’s birth is very personal and the choices that are made for herself, her baby, and her family should be upheld and respected. As a Hypnobirthing teacher I will provide you with tools and knowledge that you too can achieve a calm, relaxing, peaceful and empowering birth. I am lucky enough and hugely blessed to have three sons, the birth of my first son and with no pain relief, was not the easiest of births. My second son’s birth was far quicker and also with no pain relief still not a very easy time. After his birth I decided to train as a hypnotherapist/psychotherapist, and a couple of years later I then fell pregnant with my third son, it was at this time I decided with all my new knowledge and determination that I would flow through this birth with no fear or pain. I began to change my thoughts and feelings about my previous births, I built on my confidence and alleviated any fears I had. I made myself a hypnosis relaxation tape (a tape - yes, it was a few years ago!) and after having to be induced I took myself off into my world of relaxation, I had no pain throughout contractions and when it came to push, I was calm, tranquil and at ease, again, without pain. My son was born and was the perfect baby (of course, just like all mothers would say!) he was calm relaxed and totally at peace. I left the poor midwife dumbfounded. The whole experience was such a unique, amazing, positive, life changing birth I knew I had to help other women to also achieve such an experience, I eventually found KG hypnobirthing, having trained with them and achieved a hypnobirthing diploma DipHP (KG), I now help other couples feel prepared and confident about pregnancy and childbirth through private or group classes. I have trained extensively in hypnotherapy/psychotherapy and Neuro–Linguistic Programming and hold a diploma in Therapeutic Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (Dip.THP) and an Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (Dip.AdvHYP) with the National School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (N-SHAP). I am also a full member of The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). I practice according to the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council code of ethics and have a full Professional Indemnity Insurance. I am also a certified Practitioner of the Usui System of Reiki Healing and is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner.
My name is Rosie and I am a Hypnobirthing teacher and birth/postnatal Doula, supporting parents largely within the Richmond and Twickenham area. I am regularly with Hypnobirthing couples during their baby's birth and it is wonderful to witness comments straight after the birth, such as 'What an amazing experience !'. I passionately believe that Hypnobirthing makes all the difference in having a fulfilling and empowering birth, really giving parents and their baby the best start in life. I am also a mother to three girls, which combined with the Hypnobirthing and my role as a Doula, keeps me very busy !
I am trained in the KG method with Katharine herself and I fundamentally believe in, and feel empowered by, the message and logic of hypnobirthing. My entire life revolves around babies! Having trained as a Breastfeeding Specialist, Nutritional Therapist specialising in preconception and pregnancy health and an Infant Massage Instructor, I know just how important the birth process is and how it can go on to impact the individuals involved forever more. Most importantly, I am a mother myself and am more passionate about the power of Hypnobirthing since having had my own wonderful Hypnobirth in 2015 with my daughter. It was truly amazing
I am the mother of two children and I have been a childbirth educator since 1995, having trained with the NCT.
I have prepared thousands of couples for labour, birth and early parenting in Twickenham, Battersea and the surrounding areas.
On a personal note, I benefitted enormously from hypnobirthing while preparing for the arrival of my second child. The birth was fast and completely natural; it was a joyous experience, to be cherished forever.
I hold a Diploma in Antenatal Education, a Diploma in Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association. I thoroughly enjoy putting Katharine's training into practice.
More and more, hypnobirthing is being recognised as an excellent technique for birthing as it helps the mother have a far less stressful, much more relaxed and natural experience than she might have thought possible.
All of our accredited teachers are skilled, professional individuals who have trained in hypnobirthing techniques and are highly experienced in teaching mothers how to use these methods as a part of giving birth. We train and assess each of our teachers to ensure they meet our high standards of practice, and only then will they receive accreditation from us.
Each teacher espouses our ethics and principles, including promoting good practice in the teaching of hypnobirthing and displaying professionalism at all times. They are also committed to raising awareness about the benefits of natural birthing techniques, both to mother and baby, in order to increase recognition of it as a viable form of natural childbirth.
