My journey into hypnobirthing began when I became pregnant. I was excited for us to meet our little bundle of joy albeit nervous of what labour would be like. I was determined to feel empowered throughout the pregnancy and labour. Through searching on the internet, I came across hypnobirthing and immediately felt it resonated with my need to prepare my mind and body. I loved the idea of preparing myself in pregnancy, I felt I was empowering myself through my daily practicing of the relaxation scripts and breathing techniques. The birth to our son Satya is something that I am extremely proud off, and I feel that hypnobirthing helped me feel this way as I felt calm and confident in my body and myself to birth our precious baby.
Since having my 3 boys and 3 very different and challenging births, my love and admiration for mums grew, which is why I've decided to train to help mums experience positive and empowering birth experiences. After doing my doula training, it naturally led me to KG Hypnobirthing training to learn how to help mums achieve a relaxing birth. I have a great passion for helping mums during pregnancy and beyond, and would love to be a part of your journey too.
I became incredibly passionate about hypnobirthing whilst using it during the birth of my son in 2018. Since then i've been inspired by my own experiences and learning, and am on a mission to support women and their birth partners in creating an empowering birthing experience.
My name is Frankie Gibbons, I am a mum and teacher of 10 years. I first came across hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first baby, the techniques and tools myself and my husband learnt where incredibly effective during my birth. My experience and love of hypnobirthing led me to train as a KGHypnobirthing teacher in November of 2019. Since then my passion for birth education and hypnobirthing has continued to flourish. I am a huge advocate of empowering mothers and educating mums and birth partners to make the choices that are best for them and their baby.
I work as a birth and postnatal doula, working with women to empower them to make the choices that are right for them, their birth and their family.
Understanding how the body works during labour and being able to offer techniques that compliment the process, made KG Hypnobirthing a natural next step for me.
I love supporting all kinds of women through pregnancy, birth and into motherhood. My personal experiences often see me working in some ‘niche’ areas as well as mainstream. These include
Working towards improving perinatal mental health: I am passionate about supporting good maternal mental health. I have put my money where my mouth is, and have founded PND Mummies CIC, which is a social enterprise that supports women with their perinatal mental health. All profits from my birth and postnatal doula work goes directly to PND Mummies CIC to help fund ongoing work.
Pregnancy After Loss support: I have experience of recurrent miscarriage and understand the level of anxiety that comes with subsequent pregnancies. I can support you through this.
Medical Trial support: I have experience of being part of medical trial during pregnancies and can support you if you find yourself in a similar situation.
All of our Hypnobirthing teachers have been training and assessed and their performance in the use of these skills and the level of experience they have subsequently built up. Finally, we assess the professionalism they demonstrate when working with mothers.
We believe it is essential we assess these particular elements in order to promote good practice in natural birthing - and hypnobirthing specifically. Every teacher is an enthusiastic advocates of natural birthing. and signed up to our best practice code to demonstrate their commitment to professionalism and ethical behaviour at all times.
Hypnobirthing creates a more relaxed and therefore less stressful birthing for mother and baby. Within the field of natural birth methods it has become increasingly popular as understanding about its effectiveness increases and organisations such as ourselves promote its use.
