Hypnobirthing Yorkshire N - Teachers' Directory
I teach yoga, pregnancy yoga and Hypnobirthing and I have been educating people to use their bodies in a natural and instinctive way for many years.
I am passionate about helping people understand how their minds and bodies work and what they can do to keep happy and healthy in a natural way.
I am particularly interested in helping mothers to understand their bodies in pregnancy and birth and how to achieve the pregnancy and birthing experience they want.
Hello I'm Susan, and first of all huge congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm passionate about working with pregnant women and couples as they navigate pregnancy, labour, birth and after baby arrives the 'fourth trimester'. I want to empower couples to reduce fear and to have a positive and confident pregnancy and birth - however you birth your baby. I believe hypnobirthing changes and empowers both mother and father and can have the most profound effects on parents and baby which can last a lifetime.
My classes provide you with all round birth preparation. As well as a qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher and member of the Hypnobirthing Association, I am a Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga Teacher, a trained Doula and a Mindfulness practitioner. I share with you all this knowledge in my courses. to give you a complete tool kit of knowledge and techniques for your pregnany and birth journey.
What you learn on my Hypnobirthing course will leave you feeling calm, relaxaed and empowered for birth, whilst the knowledge gained will provide you with the confidence to make informed choices about your baby's birth. It is complete birth preparation - however you choose to birth your baby.
My teaching is very down to earth, light hearted and practical. I want to help you become the untimate 'birthing dream team'! Do get in touch to find our more and ask any questions (I want you to feel this is the right course for you), and to book your place.

I am a mum of 7 living along the Yorkshire Coast, I adore being by the sea and take real comfort and solitude from being here. I have volunteered to support women by teaching antenatal classes and supporting in breastfeeding for many years. I am passionate about watching women flourish into mothers and became a doula to offer this support in more depth. I am our local Maternity Voices Chair and one of my jobs is to feedback about the care you recieve within our maternity system. I have a very holistic approach to life, I spend much of time using esstential oils and seeking new things to learn. You will often find me with a head in a book or off on a course as I love to keep up to date with the new techniques and approaches to birth work. Nurturing and nourishing women and families is what I do best and KGH fits very much into this mindfullness. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me, I do hope to learn some more about you soon. Maria x
Hi, I’m Helen. I live in the Yorkshire Wolds with my husband, our three boys who are 9, 6 and 4 and our Irish Terrier!
I teach Yoga, including pregnancy and postnatal yoga (this is inclusive for mums and babies). I teach Hypnobirthing.
I am passionate about helping others, in any situation.
Through my own practice and teaching yoga to others, I am fascinated by how the breath can work to calm and heal the mind and body.
I believe that every woman and her birth supporter(s), should be educated and informed as they move through pregnancy towards birth.
KNOWLEDGE IS EVERYTHING.
I aim to empower a mother to be, informing her of the changes in her body she can expect to see and why, the process of pregnancy, informing her about the process of birth, how and which hormones work in pregnancy and labour. All the time building her strength and stamina, her inner focus and her power to birth her baby.
I aim to provide all necessary information to help informed choices to be made.
I am testament to the fact that hypnobirthing works. My third baby was a hypnobirthing baby – arriving in true serene circumstances, completely in control and with very little intervention.
A marked difference from my first two birth stories – all the same I wouldn’t change them as they made me who I am today, richer, stronger, wiser and completely full of gratitude that I am the mother of three healthy boys.
My own journey into motherhood gave me a strong desire to help others preparing for birth. I feel very fortunate to be able to pass on the beauty of KGHypnobirthing.
- Proud mother of 3 wonderful young adult children (and a completely different birth experience with each)
- Primary school teacher for many years
- Experienced breastfeeding counsellor
- 'Katherine Graves' Hypnobirthing teacher (trained by Katherine)
- Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond practioner
- My classes are warm, friendly, informal and flexible
I am warm, patient, empathic and non-judgmental. I have considerable experience of working with antenatal and postnatal parents and in depth knowledge of up to date and current guidelines and research. I take a particular interest in the research that explores what new parents say they would like to have known and been told antenatally. It is a huge privilege to be able to introduce women to skills and information that can give them back control over their birthing and feeding decisions.
