As well as being a qualified nurse and midwife, having worked as a midwife for over 30 years, I am a mother of 3 grown up children and currently have two grandsons.  I worked as a community midwife for 18 years and a caseload midwife for 10 of these, caring for my families throughout their pregnancy, birth at home or in hospital and postnatally up until their baby was a month old.  A high number of the women on our caseload had their baby at home, but we also cared for women with more complex pregnancies in hospital.  Over the past 21 years I have qualified in a number of complementary therapies which I have incorporated into my midwifery practice, such as Massage, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and teaching baby massage. I offered a course of baby massage to the team's families which I really enjoyed, especially as I could see the babies grow and develop after 1 month of age!  I also worked as a complementary therapy midwife with a colleague at the Jessop Wing hospital, one day a week for 7 years.

I trained in teaching Hypnobirthing with Katherine Graves in 2014 and have enjoyed teaching this to many parents waiting for the special day their baby/babies arrive.

I am now semi retired and work part time on the hospital wards and as a flu/COVID vaccinator as well as a private complementary therapist.

I  love caring for famiies having their babies and feel passionate in promoting a positive birth experience.  Each birth is unique and I feel priveledged to be with the family at this special time.

When you are considering Hypnobirthing, you want to know whether it can help you and if you can trust it and if it is a good investment.  More and more women and their partners all answer "Yes" to these questions.

I knew when I was very young that I wanted to teach parents how to care for their babies, and so teaching Hypnobirthing was a natural step for me.  My nursing and complementary work and particularly Hypnotherapy, ensures I offer a quality service to you and your partner to support you for an empowering birth experience.

The benefits are that I work with you on any fears with a new positive mindset, to trust yourself, and learn so much about your health in pregnancy, your body, labour, birth, care of your baby, and how to become confident Parents with a calmer baby.  On this course you will also learn how to get the best support from your partner and caregivers.  Wouldn't it be great to have lovely memories of the birth of your baby that you will remember forever?

I remember what it felt like to be a new Parent, and so many Parents want additional support and advice, either during pregnancy or once baby arrives.  Being prepared by receiving supportive antenatal advice and care and feeling spoiled can be such a great start.

I offer an additional VIP package ranging from 2-4 hours which can include consultation face to face or via email, for a choice of therapies, or a successful breast-feeding package.  Please contact me for information.

I offer Maternity Reflexology during pregnancy, and a special session when you have reached the anticipated date of baby's birth to help you relax and prepare for labour and birth.

Hello I’m Rosy, mother and qualified KGHypnobirth practitioner.

In creating A Rosy Hypnobirth, my aim is to help, support, and equip you with the tools to have the best birth for you, however that birth looks.

I had an incredibly empowering hypnobirth and found the techniques so beneficial throughout my pregnancy. I knew I wanted to help more people have that empowering experience.

I would love to help you with your birth journey

I have personal experience of pregnancy, labour and childbirth. Therefore, I can relate to women who are going (and due to go) through each of these experiences. I used breathing techniques throughout labour and birth and have first-hand experience of how powerful that can be. I was very much aware of and in tune with my body and followed it instinctively. I felt very pleased with my birth experience and wanted to know more about hypnobirthing which led me to KGH and the teacher training course.

I have learnt an unbelievable amount of information and insight in to our current birthing system which I was totally blind to. I have first-hand experience of giving birth in a medicalised setting (in our current birthing system) and since learning more from KGH I realise that I was not being fully supported to have a physiological birth.

I had only briefly read about breathing techniques during pregnancy but never did a formal hypnobirthing course and so was not in a position where I was aware of my choices, aware that I even had choices, or aware of ensuring that I knew all the information before consenting to procedures. We learn a lot about the power of language and on reflection I can see how I was never made to feel like I had a choice.

After experiencing what I believed to be a positive birth story, I wanted to help others achieve that. Having learnt what I now know, I feel even more determined and empowered to instil confidence and empower Mum’s to be (by teaching KGHypnobirthing) so they can have THE best birth experience possible and come out the other side of birth truly feeling at peace with how it went. To do this, every expectant Mum needs to be taught KGH!

To see how far birthing has come and what the medicalisation of birth has meant and continues to mean has truly shocked me and simultaneously empowered me. I want to be part of the birth revolution and help change it!
