Using a KGH registered teacher will give you the peace of mind that your course is of the highest quality and will help empower you to have the birth that you wish. We continue to support our teachers with industry updates to ensure their knowledge stays relevant and up to date.

Our course contains the techniques, breathing, visualisations and relaxations, that you would expect from a hypnobirthing course. So, what makes KGH special? A KGH teacher will give you extra insight into how to use hypnobirthing in the medical system in which you find yourself. This is extremely important as the environment you are in and the people around you can make a significant difference to your experience of giving birth.

KG Hypnobirthing was first developed by Katharine Graves in the UK. With feedback from mothers, their partners, midwives and obstetricians, the system has evolved over the past decade and has allowed a large number of parents to be able to enjoy the best birth for them. Our Hypnobirthing Practitioners can be found in the UK and all around the world.

How Does Hypnobirthing Work?

Designed as a complete antenatal course, KG Hypnobirthing will provide you the tools and knowledge for you to enjoy your birth with confidence and help you release any of your fears. It will help you understanding how the system works and will empower you with the information you may need. And simply it has a huge and powerful effect on your birth outcomes:

  • Your birth is likely to be more comfortable.
  • Mums tend to bounce back much quicker after experiencing a Hypnobirth.
  • Babies arrive into a calm and relaxed atmosphere, this environment really helps babies to settle quickly and bond easily with their parents.
  • Hypnobirthing has a lower rate of drugs and medical intervention.
  • Birth partners are central at the birth and during pregnancy, playing this active role is a truly loving and shared experience.

The vote of confidence that we enjoy is from the number of NHS hospitals who have chosen to train their midwives with us and our wonderful birth stories from our family of hypnobirthing parents. Read more of these lovely hypnobirthing stories here. Women come to hypnobirthing for a more comfortable birth, and it certainly delivers. But if birth is more comfortable, gentle and drug free for the mother, it is also a more gentle and natural experience for the baby. To be born in this way is to start life in the best possible way which can have an effect on your baby for the whole of its life.
