Hypnobirthing Scotland - Teachers' Directory
Hi, My name is Lynn and I am a married mum of three. I am a qualified KGHypnobirthing practitioner as well as a registered Midwife, Health visitor and Family Nurse. I am passionate about birth, and helping women and their families have a positive experience of bringing their babies into the world!
I'm a midwife currently working in a large maternity unit in Glasgow and passionate about all things pregnancy and birth related!
I'm also an aquanatal instructor and hold classes for Mums-to-be in Glagow and Lanarkshire.
I have completed a Royal of College of Midwives accredited course in Aromatherapy for Childbirth.
Hi I am an experienced Hypnotherapist with a passion to help women experience the best possible birth experience using KGHypnobirthing tools and techniques. I think women have the opportunity to be better informed and have more say in what they do and don't want during pregnancy and labour. KGHypnobirthing involves the partner through the whole experience (if that is what the mother wants) and makes sure you are equipped with the information you need to make your birth experience wonderful.
After graduating from University I worked for the NHS for nearly ten years. As a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) one of my main roles was empowering parents to support their child with whatever communication difficulty they were facing. When working as an SLT no longer fitted in with my family life I was excited to train as a hypnobirthing teacher. This let me transfer these skills to the antenatal stage, working with parents to empower them to make the best choices for themselves and their new baby.
I’m a mum of 2 boys, Midwife and KGHypnobirth Teacher, and a passionate supporter of women and families during their journey from pregnancy to childbirth and beyond. I used hypnobirthing techniques myself during the births of both my babies - one in a birth unit and one at home. I strongly believe the techniques you will learn on a KGHypnobirthing Course will help you feel empowered, calm and confident no matter where or how you choose to give birth.
I didn’t realise the strength women truly possess until I became a first time Mum in my early 30s. My pregnancy was the most incredible journey of self-discovery, and I can barely remember my life before it.
I previously worked in the music industry, and loved my job, but once my son arrived, I wanted to be the very best Mum possible, and support new parents to have the very best pregnancy and birth for them too.
I returned to University and trained as a Birth & Beyond Practitioner. I was a huge advocate of hypnobirthing, and recommended it to every expectant Mum I met, and so it was an easy progression for me to undertake the wonderful KG Hypnobirthing teacher training.
I am absolutely delighted to now be offering these classes in the North East of Scotland. Primarily covering the Angus area, but will happily travel out with this area.
My name is Abi, I am a mum of two boys and live in the north side of Glasgow.
Im a qualified social worker, and am passionate about supporting and empowering others. I have been involved in the social care sector for over a decade.
My family and friends are the most important this to me, but I also love cooking, baking, music and sport.
I was originally recommended hypnobirthing by a friend who is a midwife. I was initially skeptical of it and imagined it being a very alternative "tree hugging" approach. However, I trusted by friend and her opinion and went on the course. After having two very positive births of my own, I know that hypnobirthing works, and can transform your birthing experience.
Im really excited and honored to be able to support other couples to be able to experience positive births.
Congratulations on your pregancy! My name is Rachel Boyland and as well as being a qualified hypnobirthing teacher, I am also a registered midwife. My aim is to provide you and your birth companion with all the tools you need to have an easier, more calm and positive birth experience.
The effects of hypnobirthing are wonderful and will empower you to relax and trust your body and your baby . The course teaches simple deep relaxation, massage and breathing techniques which allow for a better birth experience. Hypnobirthing also values the contribution of your birthing partner, giving them a role in helping you to bring your baby into the world in most gentle and loving way.

Before undertaking the KG Hypnobirthing course,I was a registered nurse working in both hospital and general practice. This experience coupled with being a mother and grandmother has provided me with valuable knowledge and skills to ensure delivery of a caring and empathetic antenatal experience to you and your baby
Hi my name is Suzanne and I'm a hypnobirthing mum too! I discovered hypnobirthing as labour absolutely terrified me and I was adamant there must be something out there that could help me get through it and there was! Hypnobirthing literally changed my pregnancies and made it such an amazing experience that I knew I had to pass this knowledge on to other mums-to-be so they can have the same positive experience as us.
Hi I offer a wide variety of services from Conception to birthing and beyond. I work as a Complementary therapist and Hypnotherapist at the Rosemount Centre in Aberdeen where I also hold my Hypnobirthing classes.
I am a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and have also undergone Doula training with Red Tent Doulas. My own deliveries were very much in the clinical style 30 years ago even though I wanted a more holistic approach so Hypnobirthing is very much close to my heart.
I want mothers to feel in control of their deliveries and to have the best birth experience possible.
In addition to my KGHypnobirthing diploma, I hold a diploma in Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis as well as a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma and I am a Licensed Master Practitioner of NLP®.
My qualifications in hypnotherapy allow me to be registered with both the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
I am passionate about using my professional qualifications to allow you to understand how to work with your mind and your body to create a positive and uplifting birth experience for you, your baby and your partner. My aim is to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and skills you need to allow you to approach your birth with a calm, confident, optimism that will allow you to enjoy and embrace the birth of your baby.
