A big hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! I have a passion for helping women to realise their potential. All mothers have a natural inbuilt ability to birth their babies and I am keen to empower you to unlock this inner strength. I see too many women in pregnancy and labour who are afraid of the birth that awaits them and it is wrong for something so natural to cause such stress and anxiety. I want women to be excited to meet their unborn baby and I know that giving you the information you need to make choices and prepare will do just that. I am blown away by the power the mind has over the body and I want to share this power with you to show that if you can think it, you can do it. Giving birth calmly and confidently is no different to any other activity you have encountered in life. Having become a parent myself and working as a midwife I can relate to the uncertainty of what lies ahead, but also draw on my experiences to show that it can be done and it is done daily around the world because our bodies were designed to work with us not against us.
My name is Clare and I am mother to two wonderful boys, Ruairidh and Oliver. I live in rural Aberdeenshire with my husband and two dogs. Having spent three years telling everyone about hypnobirthing, I decided that I would train to become a KGHypnobirth Teacher as it's something that I am so incredibly passionate about. I discovered hypnobirthing whilst pregnant with my eldest. I was unsure of what to expect from the experience of labour and birth, having attended hypnobirthing classes myself I can honestly say that all the fears and uncertainty I had completely disappeared.
I have been a midwife for 5 years and first came into contact with hypnobirthing 2 years ago. I have worked in 2 different health boards. One of which is a standalone birthing unit. This unit provided care to women who had no complications and were keen to have as natural a birth as they could achieve. Therefore many women adopted that school of hypnobirthing as a method to allow a natural birth. I watched with wonder as many women came through our doors in so much control and with so much knowledge on pregnancy and birth. I watched gentle, calm, uncomplicated birth unfold with little to no aid from myself. It was inspirational even to be a part of; hence the reason I became a hypnobirthing teacher. I want all women to have this experience and be able to feel empowered for their pregnancy and most importantly birth.
I am Janine, or Neen and I have one son Olaf who is my Valentine's baby and coming up to being 3 years old.
During my pregnancy I used hypnobirthing techniques with great success, and felt informed enough so that when I was speaking to my consultants about gestational diabetes, I was able to ask the right questions to get the best possible birth on the day.
I have never felt as strong as the day I gave birth and I want all mothers to feel that. I've always mentored people to help them feel more confident and I now work with mothers throughout all stages of their pregnancy and beyond to help them always feel as empowered as they do on the day they give birth.
I am finding ways to help parents in this critical stage to help them manage the emotional impact of things like post-natal depression as they step forward into their new role with their new family.
I love seeing how expectant parents can bond, how dads can feel useful in the delivery process, and how mothers can tap into that inner instinct that's just there. This technique works.

Hi I am an experienced Hypnotherapist with a passion to help women experience the best possible birth experience using KGHypnobirthing tools and techniques. I think women have the opportunity to be better informed and have more say in what they do and don't want during pregnancy and labour. KGHypnobirthing involves the partner through the whole experience (if that is what the mother wants) and makes sure you are equipped with the information you need to make your birth experience wonderful.
