Hello i am a mother of two young adults, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a loyal friend, a god mother, a qualified practicing midwife and a KG Hypnobirthing teacher. I am passionate about all my roles but especially excited to teach new and exsisitng parents the path to a empowering, calm and confident birth jounrney whatever shape or form it may take. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your individual needs and any questions you may have.
My name is Faye Thornhill and I am a qualified Katherine Graves hypnobirthing practitioner. I practiced hypnobirthing for the births of both of my children and was astounded at the peaceful and powerful way my labours unfolded. Since that point I have had a deep respect and love for childbirth and believe that fear and the over medicalisation of birth are preventing woman experiencing the pure joy of birth. I see hypnobirthing as a gift and believe completely in its ability to help you release fear, be and stay calm before and during the birth of your baby and also to enable you to make informed decisions you are comfortable and most importantly happy with. Please just drop me a line if you would like to discuss the course or find out more.
I'm a hypnobirthing mum of 2 young boys and full-time yoga teacher specialising supporting women through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Hi, I’m Katy. Welcome to BORN READY BABY & congratulations on your pregnancy! Who am I? I’m a hypnobirthing mumma, Communications Professional (so I feel really passionately about the power of words and their ability to make us feel all sorts of things) and a fully qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher.
I feel so passionately that becoming a parent is beyond wonderful but it can also be completely overwhelming. Anything we can do to make sure that it gets off to the best start possible, the better. So often we’re bombarded with birth “horror stories” (we’ve all heard them) but who is telling us the empowering ones, the stories that make us excited to meet our babies? No women should feel like she has to spend her pregnancy in fear and no couple should feel traumatised by their birth experience.
Relaxed, friendly & fun, I offer a fresh, straight up, modern approach to hypnobirthing. Life is busy & your time is precious - let's make this both useful & enjoyable!
My name is Kirsty. I live in Aberdeen with my fiancé, Liam and our son, Joseph. Giving birth was the best day of my life and that was thanks to hypnobirthing!
I was terrified when I found out I was pregnant, but completing a face to face hypnobirthing course really turned that around. From there on I was able to enjoy and appreciate my pregnancy, along with the birth of my baby.
My birth didn't go exactly to plan, but the hypnobirthing techniques I learned kept me calm throughout and it was still such a positive experience. I still use the techniques to help deal with day to day stress and find they are hugely beneficial in helping me keep calm amongst the chaos of parenting.
After Josephs birth, I decided I wanted to do my hypnobirthing teacher training to show other women that they can have positive and empowering births!
I am fortunate enough to have friends who are as passionate about birth as I am and also have done their KG Hypnobirthing training. Together we have created 'Empower: Parenting Consultants' dedicated to supporting and empowering parents.
Hi I am an experienced Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing Teacher with a passion to help women experience the best possible birth experience using KGHypnobirthing tools and techniques. I think women have the opportunity to be better informed and have more say in what they do and don't want during pregnancy and labour. KGHypnobirthing involves the partner through the whole experience (if that is what the mother wants) and makes sure you are equipped with the information you need to make your birth experience wonderful.
Hello, my name is Claire, I'm married to my lovely Husband, Graham and together we have two beautiful children; Georgia and Ryan.
I’d love to take a little moment to tell you how I found my love and passion for Hypnobirthing. It all started because I had rather a traumatic delivery with Georgia and this sadly affected me for some years after her birth. When I fell pregnant for a second time, I was extremely lucky to meet an incredibly kind midwife at my 16-week appointment. She quickly noticed my fears and anxiety and suggested I look into Hypnobirthing - I will forever be grateful to this very special lady.
This is where my journey towards the birth I'd always dreamed about began. I studied KGHypnobirthing and from the very first session I was converted to this logical, science-based approach to birth. Everything made so much sense! I loved the fact that my Husband felt empowered to have more of an active role, and the practice we had in the lead up to the birth of our baby boy brought us closer together. It was such a special time in our relationship.
I had a water birth with my little boy and he was born swiftly and calmly within a few hours of me going into labour. I only had a little bit of gas and air and one slight intervention was needed. He was so relaxed when he arrived that he didn't cry. It was honestly the best moment of my entire life and one that I still re-live over and over again. It really was AMAZING!
Whilst on maternity leave, I discovered that not only had KGHypnobirthing changed my life but it had also become my passion. I needed to help other women understand that birth could be something to look forward to and be met with confidence and calmness and that a positive experience is most definitely achievable and so, I decided that I would look into training to become a KGHypnobirthing Teacher.
I was trained by Katharine Graves herself and I am now qualified to teach the KG Hypnobirthing course, which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I am also a member of The Hypnobirthing Association.
A big hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! I have a passion for helping women to realise their potential. All mothers have a natural inbuilt ability to birth their babies and I am keen to empower you to unlock this inner strength. I see too many women in pregnancy and labour who are afraid of the birth that awaits them and it is wrong for something so natural to cause such stress and anxiety. I want women to be excited to meet their unborn baby and I know that giving you the information you need to make choices and prepare will do just that. I am blown away by the power the mind has over the body and I want to share this power with you to show that if you can think it, you can do it. Giving birth calmly and confidently is no different to any other activity you have encountered in life. Having become a parent myself and working as a midwife I can relate to the uncertainty of what lies ahead, but also draw on my experiences to show that it can be done and it is done daily around the world because our bodies were designed to work with us not against us.
My name is Susan and I am the mother to two babies born calmly using Hypnobirthing so I know that it works! Both at home with no need for pain relief and no tearing. One of my favourite memories is being in my bed, with my husband and our baby girl beside us, sleeping away at 2 hours old. =) My background is in the IT industry so I was sceptical Hypnobirthing would work. I did some (lots!) of research and the logical conclusion was that it made sense. Nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain and after training, we definitely did. To help put birthing back to being a happy even, not a traumatic one, I took the Royal College of Midwives accredited, KG Hypnobirthing training to become a qualified HypnoBirthing teacher to spread the word wider. My investigative nature means, that I am constantly updating my knowledge of birth and what others have found helpful with HypnoBirthing. I look forward to meeting you and discovering what works to help you to have the same fantastic experience of calm and informed birthing.
