Hypnobirthing West Midlands - Teachers' Directory
My professional history actually lies in Corporate Banking but I have had a passion for all things Mother and Baby for as long as I can remember.
I first learnt about hypnobirthing in 2014 when I was expecting my first child. The idea that women could have a natural, calm and dare I say, pain free birth was a foreign concept to me as I has always been told that childbirth was more suited to gory horror films rather than magical fairy tales. Hypnobirthing fascinated me, but my desire to explore it further as a career was put on hold whilst I focused on raising my two children. Now in 2018, after a few years as a stay at home parent, I have been fortunate enough to fulfil my dream of being a hypnobirth teacher.
It is my own experience of two negative births that inspired me to complete my KGH training. When we found out we were expecting again this year, I felt so determined to reclaim my rights to have a calm and comfortable birth and not just that, but I wanted to share this positive birth concept with everybody. KGH has helped me to feel in control and genuinely excited as we approach the birth of our third child and I really hope that I get the opportunity to share this excitement with you too.
I am a huge fan of yoga, meditation, crystals and aromatherapy so it felt completely natural to me to make the move to becoming a hypnobirth teacher. I honestly believe that if you love the job that you do, then you will never work a day in your life and I have immense gratitude for just how amazing it is that I get to share such a wonderful programme with women and parents.
I have a very positive outlook on life and people that I have worked with in the past have told me that they find me to be encouraging and empowering. The passion that I have for hypnobirthing really comes through in my teaching and I really love getting to share such a precious time with women and their families.
Whatever you decide from here, I wish you all the best with your pregnancy and hope that you achieve the natural birth that you desire.

Following the calm birth of my daughter I felt so passionate about positive birth experiences that I became a qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher myself. I kept thinking why isn't everyone doing this? Choosing the right hynobirthing course is important. We all have different needs, motivations and concerns. When I teach, my goal is to ensure that everyone in the course feels comfortable, relaxed and at ease so they can ask the questions they need, practice and get as much benefit from the course as possible. Regardless of whether you choose to attend a group course or invest in private sessions, I am here to support you throughout the course and beyond to ensure you continue to build confidence right up to the birth of your baby.
I qualified in Clinical Hypnotherapy with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis in 2011. I then had my daughter and was fortunate to find a wonderful hypnobirthing practitioner. This very personal experience convinced me of the benefits of hypnobirthing through first hand experience and I went on to qualify with KGHypnobirthing in 2014 as a route to supporting mums-to-be through their own birthing experiences.

Throughout my midwifery training, I was amazed and encouraged by the remarkable women I met and cared for, reinforcing my passion to improve birth experiences for all women. When I first cared for a woman who was utilising Hypnobirthing techniques, I was astounded by her confidence in her body, her baby and her birth and witnessed firsthand what a positive impact this had. I am a firm believer in KG Hypnobirthing, having seen it's huge success in a multitude of scenarios and my aim is to assist couples, making their pregnancy journey and experience as calm and positive as possible. I completed my dissertation on the use of hypnosis as a complementary therapy and I was amazed by the quantity of positive research. I was then fortunate enough to win the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust Student Award which funded my Hypnobirthing training. I teach Hypnobirthing alongside my career as a midwife which gives me a full insight into the advantages of Hypnobirthing throughout the birthing journey.
